"Kumi" "Himo"

About this design:

OK...it took me at least 4 tries to FINALLY, finish a kumihimo bracelet without a mistake in it. It's just a simple pattern but I felt so good when I finally got it done.

Components:

C-Lon white thread, Toho Japanese #6 in terra cotta, Toho Japanese #8 in amber cream, pewter bead ends, stainless steel lobster claw, Swarovski 5301 sand opal and dark red coral crystal bicones

This is so pretty! Kudos to you!!
I’ve been trying to learn this technique. I was doing okay with cords only , but I’m having a hard time with the beads! I finally learned where the beads go (under the strand!), but I keep forgetting where I left off; did two beads fall fall in, etc. I had to unravel everything at least 3 or 4 times until I finally put
it down! I’ll try again when I’m calmer! LOL

@NY Bella-I so feel your pain! I went 3/4 of the way through one, then realized I missed a bead..very frustrating. One thing I found is that it was easier for me when I had two sizes of the beads. I don’t know why…but it just seemed to work better.

Great piece, I love how you finished it with the bead ends and crystal, great finishing touch. Can you tell me what the difference is between this stitch technique and beaded spiral rope? Thanks
