Love the crosses as well, and I remember seeing these YEARS ago, too. I believe they are made out of horseshoe nails. I say that only because my sister and I made rings out of said nails left over when the farrier changed the shoes on our horse :)

Very Cool! I have a teenage stepson & nephew that are always wanting me to make them some jewelry but most of my ideas & work are too feminine- this is a great idea & something I could do for them & they would love it! Thanks for sharing!

I might be wrong but I have one of these and both my daughters do also but they were told they were made from something to do with the railroad but I am not sure.
