3 Little Birdies

About this design:

Doing Lori Anderson's "and Thanks blog hop" today. Details for the inspiration can be found there.
http://www.prettythingsblog.com/2012/11/participants-for-memories-and-thanks.html
http://terrisbloomingideas.blogspot.com/

Once upon a time there was a
Mom who once had 3 little "birdies".
One day Mom-ma birdie and
her two little birdies got sick.
Her first little birdie didn't make it. He was just 3.
Her other birdie was just 18 months and survived.
But none the less felt the loss of her brother.
The third little birdie came along a year later.
Now only the two birdies remain.
Those birdies...you guessed it...
Me and my little brother.
Neither of us are so little any more.
Regardless, nothing can change the fact that
Once upon a time,
our mother gave life to 3 little "birdies"
which she held, cared for and nurtured.

Components:

Lima items: Copper rolo chain, 4mm copper bead caps, Czech coin, fire polished rondelle and Tierra Cast copper heart toggle. From my stash: Oval connector, cathedral red beads, copper daisy spacers, Verdigris Vintaj paint, Bronze and Verdigris Gilders paste.

The “Memories and Thanks blog hop” was tough. Very emotional. So many touching stories. I’m only a 1/3 of the way through visiting all of the 130 ladies that signed up. And having a migraine yesterday didn’t help. Thank you all for your kind comments! I appreciate them all so much.:-D

Pam, if you are serious about wanting one…you can send me a personal message. I know where you can get one. ;) If not…no worries…I take it as a huge compliment… thanks sweetie. :)

Oh my. I didn’t see the whole explanation my first time through. I am so sorry for the very tough loss your family suffered and how it has affected you all through the years. It clearly has made you a very empathetic person. Hugs, my friend.

Thank you ladies. I figured some may not have the time to hop on over to Lori’s or my blog so I decided to share some of the story here. I woke up today remembering what my mom told me about Jeffery sharing all of his toys with me. Piling them up in my crib. Back then they weren’t light toys. Wood blocks and metal cars, trucks and the like. :)
We do start forming who we are at a very early age. As sad as this loss is I am glad I did turn out to be an empathetic person. Thanks Becky.

A big Thank You to a generous Lady for sending me these. You are so sweet. She knows who she is. And I have sent her a private Thanking. I appreciate them so much. I’m touched by your generosity to a relatively total stranger. A true RAK: Random Act of Kindness.
