Decorative shoe clip

About this design:

I have been fascinated lately by by the beautiful feathered and jewelled designs I am seeing people put on their shoes! What a great idea, to be able to update your shoes and not have to buy an expensive new pair! I decided I would like to have a try at this. Let me know your thoughts.I used pretty much what I had hanging around, so not the best materials , but I think it works! I would really like to try this with peacock feathers at some point.

Components:

assorted Feathers Brass button Ornate antique silver button beading thread ( to tie the two buttons together ) Card stock ( just a little, to hold the feathers and buttons together ) Good quality glue Hair clip or slide

Love it! You’ve inspired me to think about shoe jewelry. When I was a child, women used shoe clips (I still have some “antique” ones). I think it’s time for their return, and feathers are so perfect.

Ooooo, your shoe clip is drop-dead gorgeous! LOVE it! The shoes look so nice. Wish I had mastered the art of walking in high heels though :)

What Laud said is so true; “it’s time for their [shoe clips] return”. Especially in today’s economy, to be able to “dress up a pair of pumps” like Deb Harding said would be so nice.
