Bohemian Wood Part 2

About this design:

I had a small quantity of black wood beads. I also read up on how to dye wood beads with food coloring. So I'm going to dye most of the really light ones black and make more like these 2.

Components:

Black wood beads. Silver beads. Grey freshwater pearls. Green freshwater pearls.

I like the black. A little more of a “nighttime beachy” vibe. I like the potato pearls too.

Looks like a design for a moonlit beach. Love ‘em! :D

A word of caution from an old art teacher about food color. Most of the colors are fugitive except for the red… red food color is FOREVER! There is also a possibility the colors will bleed. You might want to give them a test on a wet paper towel after they are dry. If they don’t leave color on the towel I’d say you are in business or as one of my friends used to say “you’re in bidness.” :D

Thanks for that tip. I find that I don’t really like the natural color beads that much. They are so blah. I really need black beads. lol
    Thank you Nancy.
