~ I'm Dreaming of a Beach Day ~

About this design:

Temp is a low of 15 in Jersey. I opened my delivery from LB and out popped warm, soft colors beads that remind me of my favorite place, The Beach!

This bracelet is something I have wanted to put together for a long time. The earrings I threw together to see how they would look as a set. The earrings need a re-do but will do for now.

I added a picture of my bud, Scooby. He keeps me company while I bead :0-.

Components:

Keishi pearls, Labradorite, Fluorite, Rainbow Agate, Rock Crystal, Amazonite, leather lace and silver spacer and ear wires.

Peggy, your bracelet is gorgeous! Love the design and colors! Your Scooby is a cool cat!!

What a nice combo of beads! I like the asymmetrical design. You are lucky to have Scooby as an advisor! :)

What a gorgeous bracelet, Peggy — wonderful colors/shapes/design! Perfect “beachy” feel to it! Oh, will it ever get warm again? :D

Scooby appears to have captured the perfect facial expression of an “Official Beading Superviser”! At least he isn’t eating the beads….. 8O

  4. Deb Harding

I love it Peggy! Great colors. I just cant tell what its strung on.
Love Scooby also…he reminds of my Mousey, also a beading advisor.

This is perfect including Scooby :D

Scobby is the cutest! The necklace
    Beautiful, very beachy!

  7. Kate
    Kate says:

love the different textures in this piece, Peggy!
Also, shocked that Scooby is not sitting ON your beads. You have him well trained. My cat always seemed to find the least convenient place to “supervise” my work…keyboard, math text book, yarn spools…

  8. puppychick labratbecky
    puppychick labratbecky says:

Beautiful! I am with Kate–how do you get the cat who sits NEXT to, not ON TOP of. ???

  9. Crazy Beader
    Crazy Beader says:

Love your design and agree with the others that you have one well-trained (ha ha) cat. But you know that cats do what they want to do, so you are lucky to have a paws-off supervisor – -

Beautiful design, I too love the beach- always looking for beach treaures! Not today here in MA it was 9 degrees with a windchill below zero! Youch!

Scooby is adorable an very well behaved! I was making something the other day and could not find my round nose pliers or scissors- they were under my big cat, Eric! He was fast asleep on them……

  11. Fresh Baked
    Fresh Baked says:

Great bead and color combos. Does look like a collection of beach treasures.

  12. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

Thank you ladies, it means a lot.

So Scoob is cute eh? ha ha.
I found him under a bush @ 2 weeks old. He’s had me wrapped around his paw since. As far as training.. he’s does what he wants. I have a feeling he *sighs* when the bead board comes out. lol. She’s ignoring me again.

  13. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

OMG 2 weeks!!! Did yoi have to bottle feed him? Mousey, my cat that looks like him, had to be bottle fed. I had to take him from the mother. She had 5 kittens and 4 died because she either wasn’t feeding them right or she didn’t.have milk. He was literally my baby, 2am feedings, changing his bedding, sleeping with me. He’s the boss of the house.

  14. Eeka Mouse
    Eeka Mouse says:

The bracelet is lovely, ditto the earrings. The flash of orange keeps ‘em interesting.
Thanks to my cats, I can distinguish between the sound of 6 vs 8 mm beads hitting the floor….

  15. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

    lmbo eeka mouse!

  16. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

Deb – nope he went right for food. I foster kittens for the past year and love it! So rewarding and of couse fun ;)

  17. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

    very pretty and fresh!

  18. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Wow…it took me 8 weeks to get Mousey to eat food. He just disnt want it…wanted his bottle. He would see it and literally scream.
Very giod of you to foster cats. I just keep them all…unfortunately.

  19. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

Deb – i strung the beads on cheap stringing material for now and attached to a jump ring .
i will use a more draping wire – beadalon 49 strand wire when i finish it fer real ….

  20. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Ahh thanks. So.then that leather cord goes through the jump rings and.you pull the.cord tight with that bead…interesting!

I’m still debating about the wood bracelets. Stretchy is good but you almost have to.make more than one size. Adjustable closure like this and sliding slipknots are more versatile.

  21. sunny chick
    sunny chick says:

Your beautiful set makes me yearn for the beach, too! :D It’s like one degree here. 8O

  22. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

Thanks Sunny. 15 here toady. ha.
    Deb-
pull the cord through button on my piece. sure you could use a bead too.
i used deerskin leather. nice texture to it

  23. Little Round Chick
    Little Round Chick says:

Hurry Summer! Perfect beach wear, fabulous color, great design. :D
