Green For Growth

About this design:

This is just a fabulous design – - love all the beads you chose, too. It’s somehow symetrically asymetrical !

I moved stuff on the bead board so much trying to get a non-boring design.

I just started posting this month and everybody has had something nice to say about all the designs I think aren’t that great. Is that a light green frosted
heart betwixt all those other greens it’s beautiful and great for Valentine’s or St. Patty’s. I’ve been LMBO at all the hilarious quips everyone uses.

  12. Elis Mom

Jennifer, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! If you like something, say so. If not, leave it alone. LB is a wonderful community of beaders who support each other. Happy Beading!

    Peggy3 says:

Gorgeous, gorgeous.. Green is my fav color and so smoothing. I too see it as new life and growth. Hope 2013 brings all that you desire.

On another note, I thought of you tonight. ha ha I was @ Michael’s. They had the most beautiful brown oblong wood beads w simple flowers etched into them. I loved them but didn’t buy since they were not 40% off. I also hit the bargain bin and all that was left was a lone lampwork bead. All the bargain hunters scooped them all up. Lol

  14. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

I feel lucky to have become a part in the LB community recently. To be able to share designs, techniques among such talented women. Thank you ladies. I’m new and appreciate everyone’s comments, suggestions, tip, etc.

Now for the uncensored me. Holy crap! I didn’t just read what I think I did.

  15. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Hi everyone! Just back from eating dinner…lean cuisine again. I resisted going and getting a big juicy burger, good for me!!

I’m glad my little comments have inspired everyone to say how much they appreciate LB. I think its important that we let each other know and that Kevin and Ali know how much we love this place.
Jennifer…I read your comment…were you referring to your own designs not being so great and getting compliments? That’s what it sounded like to me. I’ve had that feeling at times also. But my thoughts on that are everyones work deserves merit. Everyones work
is different, everyones idea of what looks good is different. I can also appreciate a design that I might particularly want to wear myself. So these ladies are here supporting everyones unique sense of style and lecel of workmanship. I know that my work has improved 10x since I discovered Lima. So every compliment I get I appreciate and I try ecen harder.

  16. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Oh and thank you for the compliments here.
    Love all you ladies/chickies.

Jennifer the green stones are all new jade.
Peggy I got.those oblong stones with the flowers last week at that big sale.

Deb, you are far better than I when it comes to eating healthy!
I am with you…we all have different tastes and asthetics when it comes to jewelry designs. We all have something to share and something to learn. I have grown so much since coming to LB. Love all of you chickies!

  19. Peggy3
    Peggy3 says:

    WHAT sale? ha ha

  20. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Well I did have corn muffins….with butter. But I haven’t really eaten that much today.

I really don’t think Jennifer was talking about “other people’s” designs. I think she is feeling like I did in the beginning…I would read the comments and think these ladies cant be talking about my stuff…what are they looking at???

  21. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

That 2 for sale where stuff was basically 40% off. All reds were $2 & greens 2 for $7. I usually shop only 3 sections. Findings/chain/cord, metal beads/spacers, & wood & pearls. Not much else really.

  22. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Deb, your stuff has always been great!

  23. Peggy3

    @ Michael’s? if so, I never saw.

Maria I saw this last night but was so sleepy I couldn’t type a coherent sentence (have trouble with that when I’m awake…tiny keyboard) . Anyway thank you for the compliment. I’m glad my description with this bracelet sparked a “how much we love LB and appreciate everyone here” conversation. That is very important to me…

    Thank you also DbnRose.

  32. Valley Girl
    Valley Girl says:

Everyone here at LB is great….but just wait until the Easter Egg hunt comes around! That is when you see the true colors of the beaders on here and the amazing amount of beads LB really does carry….that is what brought me here and the people are what makes me stay! Who knew one little online bead store could become such an obsession! ;)

  33. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Obsession is right. I had no idea when I followed that link on Pinterest for the ribbon slide bracelet that I would be spending so much time here every day!

What happens during the easter egg hunt….true colors sounds ominous…you don’t mean bad I’m sure!

  34. Peggy3

Hurry, hurry Springtime! Beautiful contrast in textures and colors. Love it!

Y’all are so right about how great LB is. I’ve been reading and posting on this site for ages and it always one of the first things I check each morning. There have been many times when I’ve finished a design that I had fiddled around with and changed so much I could no longer tell if it was worth keeping or should go into the closet. This wonderful group of on line beading friends have come to my rescue more that once when I’ve posted photos of questionable designs. Three cheers for Lima Beads and all of the on line friends! :D

I never paid much attention to new jade, but it’s really pretty in this bracelet. The colors are scumptious. P.S. I haven’t been around long enough to know what happens with the egg hunt, either. Looking forward to finding out.
