Turquoise Howlite, Pewter and Coral

About this design:

Another slightly asymmetrical necklace design. I had used the pewter squares in another design but could never get them to lay just right. So I put the necklace away.... along time ago. A couple of weeks ago I got the original necklace out, took it apart and started again. I substituted the turquoise howlite for the trapezoid ones I used in the earlier design. This time it worked! The pendant is also a new addition. This necklace is so much better looking than the original one.

Components:

turquoise howlite, pewter squares and spacers, coral, stainless steel and silver plate chain, stainless steel trigger clasp

Asymmetrical designs offer a fun challenge. It has never been too difficult for me to do them. When I was an undergraduate student (about 50 years ago) one of the areas of emphasis in my studies was design and composition. Lots of formal and informal balance studies.
