About this design:
I often see earrings as an after thought when designing a necklace, and tend not to make many...I found these paper beads at the bead shop and wanted to do something different with them. I dug the branch links from my stash, the earrings are the result. Next I want to make a matching necklace.
Components:
African paper beads, bead caps, millifiori glass beads, FW pearls, copper branch links, head pins, eye pins, copper earwires.Read the comments (or add your own)

Deb Harding says:Designing in reverse order I see. These earrings are great. I love that you hung them from the branch link instead of just the earring wire. I’m like you as far as earrings go because no one can see them on me…too much hair.

Love how you showcased the paper beads with all the other funky components!!!

Laud says:I make earrings when I have leftover beads, so I know what you mean about afterthoughts. Earrings can be too heavy, but the paper gives size without weight, and the branches take the whole design away from predictable. All good!

Chickie Nonnie T says:Love these! One of these days, I’m going to try my hand at making some paper beads. I bought one of those little tools that helps you to wrap it.

Elis Mom says:Thank you all so much!
I’m going to keep these for now, until I get some more branch links.
Becky, my stash is a bit overgrown at the moment. Problem is, I have an idea, & never have the ONE thing that’ll make it pop. So I go to the bead store for one item, and end up with ten more! I need an intervention.

Elis Mom says:Thanks Julie and Val! I got the branch links right here at LB.
I grew up in Michigan, so I love the snow, and miss it plenty when it is so hot here. Today was in the 70s. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 80s. Perfect for the little farmer’s market I’ll be at. Wish me luck!
