About this design:
This is the result from the wire-wrap class I took 2 weeks ago at my LBS. The focal was labeled simply "Jasper."
The second pic is Thunder Egg jasper (that cost a bundle but is SO pretty) and it's going to be wrapped and incorporated into the necklace and the bracelet. The third pic is rainbow rhyolite and sunstone for a bracelet and earrings.
Don't you love it when the stones all play so well together?

Julie Shane says:Thanks everyone!!!
Now I can confess… My central swirl is WRONG! I twisted “in” instead of “out” so it’s officially not correct. Isn’t it nice to compromise and re-create the original!
The central knot was supposed to gracefully hang over the edge of the stone to counter-balance the swirls on the other side. Whatever!!! I’m happy with my first attempt!
Now I just have to find time to finish the other little pieces and then link them together with the chain. Eventually — in my mind’s eye — this is going to be GREAT!

Deb Harding says:So I read your comment that the swirl is wrong…hmmmm….if its supposed to go.the other way I don’t think I would like it as much.
It looks like part of a treble clef or the bottom of an S.
You are doing well in class obviously.

Science Chick Runs Sibes says:This is just lovely. So what if you did it “wrong.” Rules were meant to be broken–that’s how we discover new ways of doing things.
The other strands of stones are beautiful. Yes, it is great when two (or more) stones simply have to go together. What’s problematic is when two get together and “refuse” to be made into jewelry until just the right other strand comes along.
