About this design:
I did a pick called "Last Green Leaf" in October because I loved the pale delicacy of the bundle. Thinking dusty rose or peach and copper would be the best accents, I got the bundle on a POD sale. My original color scheme didn't work; the mauve bead with dots needed other mauve companions, which the Czech glass and pearls supplied.
Components:
Gaea Green Leaf Canyon bundle, tree agate barrels, seaweed quartz toggle, African jasper chips, magnesite rounds, Czech glass rondelles, freshwater pearls, Czech glass flowers, German silver wire, antique silver bail, matte ivory and green tea seed beadsRead the comments (or add your own)

Need4Beadz says:This is such a lovely piece. It reminds of spring and the soft greens of new growth. Great component choices also! I admire your work.

Laud says:Thanks! I wish I were a better photographer. The colors are so pale, it’s really hard to capture them, but looking at them in real life, I think they work.

Little Round Chick says:So crisp and fresh! A wonderful design for spring! Love it!

Deb Harding says:Such a lovely necklace…once again your work is just superb.
Okay I don’t think its your photography either. I think that white background thing causes a lot of blurring because of the texture. I’ve noticed when you use that I have problems seeing detail in the piece. Its textured and shiny so it reflects I guess. Kind of like wearinf herringbone on TV. When you see someone in herringbone on live TV it looks like a small mosaic kaleidoscope going on. When you had that photo of the necklace on that wood background I could see.it a lot.better.

Chicky Zee aka Alice says:Nice design!
On Feb 11, 2013 at 4:11 pm #
Laud says:Good catch, Deb. I’ll try another background.
On Feb 11, 2013 at 5:01 pm #
Deb Harding says:I thought it was just my phone at first. Then I used my Mom’s computer. As one of your designs was scrolling by there was all this reflection, colors and movement on that background. I want to see all the detail of your work so if that helps I’m glad.

puppychick labratbecky says:I almost bought that bundle I don’t know how many times!! Love how you used it!!!!

Julie Shane says:Love it Laud!
I have this bundle. I bought it to go with red creek, but I haven’t done anything yet. Maybe that’s a message that I should think of something else.
I like how this is mostly/mainly monochromatic with lots of fun pops of color. The Czech bellflowers and coins are great!
On Feb 11, 2013 at 7:57 pm #
Laud says:The bundle could go rustic, but the leaf and the flower signaled “garden” to me. So many choices…

Elis Mom says:Beautiful, Laud! I always lookede past the tree agate, but here it looks so lovely with the other components. I’m going to have to give it a second look.
This photo looks great compared to the original. Photography is so hard. What are you using to edit?
On Feb 11, 2013 at 8:44 pm #
Laud says:Photoshop. The program can do a lot, but it’s how I’m taking the pictures that’s wrong–no tripod, using light from an east-facing window, not staging on the right fabric. Sigh. Who knew that learning photography was part of the process?

Asia says:Fantastic work, Laud, have the same bundle sitting in my stash

Elis Mom says:Photography is the hardest for sure! Just takes practice, that’s all!
I don’t have this bundle, but a few others. Thanks for the inspiration!
On Feb 11, 2013 at 10:39 pm #
Laud says:The Gaea bundles are all different, I think. I did one that just needed ribbon. This one got a lot more complicated. They’re really fun to work with!

Peggy3 says:Beautiful as with all your other pieces. I love your style.
I have a few picture tips.
A different/ darker background should help.
If you take photos outside make sure the sun is facing your back.
And you can try the macro (flower/tulip) icon on your camera or phone. Macro is used when you want to show a smaller area of detail.
Also, I use picasa software by google. It’s free. Just needs to be downloaded.
Hope that helps. As I said all your pieces are beautiful and should be shown in the best light possible

NY Bella says:Another beautiful piece! Love it!
On Feb 11, 2013 at 11:45 pm #
Laud says:Thanks! And thanks, Peggy, for the tips. I’ve used black, macro and supermacro, but not the software you suggest. I’ll look into that.

Chicky Red-haired Grammy says:This is a lovely piece, as are all your designs and picks. I can take a photo but have no idea how to get it onto this site.

Laud says:Thank you, Gaea. I bow to the master.
Grammy, you must know how to get photos into your computer or your picture wouldn’t appear here. So use whatever software you used to store pictures on your computer first. To edit, you could try Susie’s suggestion, befunky.com. Then come here to the design gallery, click on upload a design, and fill in the blanks.
