About this design:
help.
Components:
Pink opal nuggets, pink quartz rectangular tubes, FW pearls, silver seed beads, silver plate chain, toggle, artistic wire, jumprings I made, and silver moon beads. Not sure how much is LB but the wire and seed beads are for sure.Read the comments (or add your own)

puppychick labratbecky says:Look closely–you will see my wire wrap on the pendant gives Mr. Moon arms and legs.
I think that’s the only part I like.
On Feb 22, 2013 at 3:36 pm #
OK Jacki says:Some gorgeous stones in here & a nice theme. Perhaps….for me, I’m loving the pendant and the opal side. On the FW Pearl & Moon side, I think I would like it a bit better if the FW Pearls were paired w/ something a bit smaller and that would tie into the other side of the assymetrical flow. Then, at the point where your toggle is placed, have a few dangles, including something on the celestial theme – perhaps a star? or a different moon or a ‘dream’ word bead?

Deb Harding says:I’m not sure what you see wrong with it Becky. The only thing i see that bothers me is length…but thats just a personal preference.
I busted out laughing at the arm and leg thing…sorry.
I love the colors, I love the moons. I don’t know what to tell you. Only you can decide.
On Feb 22, 2013 at 3:52 pm #
Deb Harding says:Maybe if it were just fewer moons and a few more stones from the other side randomly seperated by chain and then a smaller link additional chain.
On Feb 22, 2013 at 3:57 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:Jacki, that is helpful.
Let me tell you how I started-with the pendant and the moon beads. the pink is so pale I was trying to wake it up. Some of the nuggets are low grade from a different source and I brought them on board for the extra colors (almost oranges). The more I tried to add the worse it got. ARGGG and now that you say that, I do have a star toggle. Dang I’m stupid! I think I’ll taker it apart later and try again. Right now I hate it. And, the arm and leg thing has to go. I just like that because it is so goofy and if this does nothing else at least it made you laugh.

OK Jacki says:Totally agree w/ Deb…it is a personal thing…I think it is lovely the way it is, w/ all the components. Everyone one has personal preference w/ lengths, colors, size etc., If you like it and are pleased with it, that is the the thing that counts here. You can’t go wrong–cause it is beginning it’s life as a gorgeous piece. Hugs!!

puppychick labratbecky says:Thanks, Deb. It’s coming apart. I’ll post different pics when (if
) I get it done.

puppychick labratbecky says:If I liked it, I wouldn’t be begging for help.
I would be ignoring you.
thanks for the help!!

Beadlady3 aka Cindy says:Heee! I didn’t notice the arms & legs until I read that, had to go back & look.
There are times when I make something and I just know it isn’t right…like it was better in my head than how it turned out, or it was better in theory than in practice! I have taken those appart and kept the parts I liked, then took a different tack with the rest. Usually those are the pieces that only get 1 or 2 comments when posted here!
On Feb 22, 2013 at 5:15 pm #
Eeka Mouse says:Love the pendant! Don’t amputate! If I was going to mess with the rest, I’d mix up the components so it’s not so half-n-half… but go w/asym placement. A star-shaped clasp would be nice….

Julie Shane says:I like it. I like the moons. I think I’d like a little bit more of the soft colors on the FW+moon side. Maybe a few near the pendant then go into the asymmetrical. I’d also like a couple pink opals mixed in with the FW+moons. Perhaps there’s too much/too many/too long of a “dark section” so it’s not a subtle enough asymmetrical. Sorry Becky. This makes sense in my head, but don’t know how to say it.
I like to put pieces away for a few days and then look at it new.
On Feb 22, 2013 at 5:21 pm #
Julie Shane says:btw: I like long pieces. It’s a cool statement. How about a couple more dangles on the pendant to keep Moon company???
On Feb 22, 2013 at 6:48 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:Gutted it, removed moons & chain, rebuilt one strand of stones, cut up arms and legs, added one rhodochrosite stone as pendant. None of this would have happened if I had found LB before one of the competitors. I have these junk stones from the other place that I feel obligated to use.
Tell ya what, chickies, if you don’t already know, Lima Beads has great quality stones.
On Feb 22, 2013 at 6:55 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:Sorry, Eeka, those arms and legs under the moon face were too much even for me. I am done with this. It is still boring but basic and maybe someone will buy it for a nickel. I’m trying something else entirely with the moons and some open star beads I found. I have to go clear my head after that disaster. I hate to waste so much time on something that just won’t behave!!

NY Bella says:Well, Becky, I don’t have to comment since your necklace doesn’t exist anymore!LOL. I ‘ll wait for your next posting!
On Feb 22, 2013 at 7:16 pm #
Asia says:You right Becky about LB stone quality and I will also comment on you new design, but I just have to say that I liked Mr Moon, he was so you!
On Feb 22, 2013 at 7:20 pm #
Asia says:Just wanted to say that I will probably stick to just Pink Opal as pinks and add something in greys or browns to it
On Feb 22, 2013 at 8:31 pm #
Deb Harding says:Open stars! I think I have those too plus 1 or 2 of those moon faces.
On Feb 22, 2013 at 10:00 pm #
Elis Mom says:Oh Miss Becky! The only thing I might have done differently is mix up some of the stones with the FW pearls and moons. Twas a pretty necklace…
On Feb 25, 2013 at 11:32 am #
Kate says:Becky- thanks for the shout out on stone quality. Kevin and Ali truly obsess over the stones we carry… I, for one, am glad their neuroses are paying off
