Moon with Opals minus Moon(s)

About this design:

the redo. I made it about 6 inches shorter per Deb's suggestion. Julie, the long replacement will have to wait. I took out the moons, extra pearls and chain, and that pendant will have to work with something else later. It's not from LB and it isn't very nice.

Shorter definitely works and you might be right about the moons. :D

I just don’t even want to look at these beads anymore. :( The moons are cute on their own but not with this. :)

I have a bunch of gorgeous LB pink opals and they are going to get treated to sterling silver but not for this show in March.

This piece is lovely, Becky!! The colors are so pretty and the shorter length works great! Now, put it away and go have a glass of wine!!

I really like the redo…Rhodocrosite is a favorite
and the pink opal is really pretty with it. How long is it?

I’m going to have a table at a small craft show (only 25 vendors) at a bar/restaurant/club in 2 weeks. I am trying to guess the tastes of the clientel because I don’t have time to make very many pieces. I am also planning on treating myself to a stiff drink at the bar when nothing sells. :)

:D Good luck, Becky, maybe snooping around might help you, just go for the drink now, get friendly with the staff and get some info :D

Well I’m sad to see the moons go. But maybe you should use them in something more blue and silver toned. Oh and the main reason I don’t like really long necklaces is I’m short so they hit my waist. And since I’m.kind of busty they hang funny. Only a very light weight chain can work if its long.
I do like this revised version. Its very pretty.

Gee Becky. I think this is really pretty! There’s a nice compliment of stones, the design is assymetrical yet balanced. It’s sure to sell!
As an aside, Garry and I always pack a little vino in our cooler at shows just in case of emergencies!

Love the remake!!! Don’t kid yourself…you are going to sell this, and i’m sure anything you take. Believe, my child! :-)

This is more “traditional” so it might appeal to your audience. It is really pretty Becky. *LOVE* that focal! I think you should keep the moons but visit them again in a few weeks when you’ve “forgotten” this necklace design session.

Love that pendant of course ;) The other design was more whimsical and fun this is more as Julie say “traditional” and might be easier to sell to the broather public. Very very pretty design with gorgeous components :D

You guys are soooooo nice!!!! You guys are so good for picking me up out of the gutter and dusting me off. :)

I have a few of my fun and funky pieces going along, too, some with my favorite GG animals. :) Don’t worry, I can’t make anything decent that doesn’t have my personality.

I do think the moon and stars will look better with blues but I am also making that piece with the pink quartz added in. I like how airy it looks. And I have more of that rhodochrosite and a plan. Love you all!!!!

Pretty necklace… i like the idea of a craft show in a bar, get them liquored up and sell them jewels! A win win for sure!

Would you have directions on how to make this necklace? I really love this and would like to make it for myself.
