About this design:
I haven't decided if I like this necklace or not. Seems a bit clunky to me. I do like the colors and the Keith O'Connor raku shell, though.
Components:
Keith O'Connor raku shell pendant, and various freshwater pearls, Shell, Coral, copper spacers, and copper toggle clasp.Read the comments (or add your own)

Laud says:The colors and the arrangement are lovely, but the piece could be a wee bit long. I’m happier with necklaces that come to the breastbone. If they get so long that the focal is over my stomach, I’m drawing attention to the wrong thing!

JC Hamm says:It does’nt look clunky to me, I would love to wear this with a white t-shirt in the summer. It’s very pretty.I love it!!I can almost smell the ocean, and imagine walking on the beach and collecting drift wood.

Elis Mom says:Thanks, Ladies!
The necklace is 21 inches in length with a pendant that’s about an inch and a half. It hits just above the cleavage.

rootware says:I don’t think it is clunky at all and I love the colors together. I think what you are responding to is it being a little off balance. Always tricky to make things ‘balance’ in an asymmetrical design. I might move the larger blue stone on the right side away from the larger purple disc and bring it closer down towards the pendant so it looks like it ‘weighs’ the same on both sides. Otherwise, I like all the great shapes and textures in this necklace!

Crazy Beader says:This is a great necklace – - but I mght like it better with one or two of the large purple stones rather than three ?? And your photos are really good, too !

Elis Mom says:I’ll probably redo this one in the future. Right now it’s going on the table at my upcoming market next week!

puppychick labratbecky says:Susie, I love the components but I might agree with rootware about moving that one bead. Or could you just replace the 3 big purple circles with some cmaller purple shell pieces? Just some thoughts.
Believe me, I have ripped apart plenty of things that bothered me for one reason or other.
But the whole idea IS fabulous!!! You and beachy were made for each other!

Crazy Chick Frida says:Hmmm hmmmm hmmmm what to say
I like those big shell pieces I think they should be three of them. I love the pendant and the colors. I do agree that there are a tiny bit of unbalance. But I think that sometimes untidiness can be cool

Asia says:Susie, love the pendant, I like those 3 shell beads, I also don’t think that it is unbalanced, but of course the last word is yours

Elis Mom says:I can see where I could move a few things around…But…I would like to start some other projects. Would like some new items for next week and the shop. So, it’ll stay as is for now, and probably be redun later…unless, of course, it makes me crazy before then!

Asia says:Susie, I sent you an e-mail, just making sure that you got it (having some issues with it today),yes it is free everywhere.

Elis Mom says:I got it! Thanks, Asia!

puppychick labratbecky says:Put it out for sale–it is cool and definitely will appeal to the right person! I can’t do asymmetry at all so I need to just shut my mouth.

Deb Harding says:Well I like it. Perfect beachy necklace. But I thing rootware might have hit your solution. I think if you put the stacked stones between the purple and blue it will give you the same pattern as the left…only smaller.
