Honey Comb

About this design:

I finally dusted off my Nunn Designs bezels and UV resin after a long hiatus. This is the first time I've tried to add anything 3-D into the resin and I wasn't entirely sure it would work...but, yay, it did!

I've seemed to be on a bit of a bee kick lately and as soon as I saw the honey comb patterned scrapbook paper, I knew I had to try this!

Components:

Nunn Designs copper plated grande square bezel pendant, chain, jump rings, lobster claw clasp. Czech glass, aquamarine teardrop, Vintaj bee charm (with loop cut off), flat back Swarovski crystals, UV resin.

What a bee-you-tiful piece! LOL Love the colors of the beads–they go so well with copper. Great wirewrap and spiral on the focal too!

I would love to try resin.
Is there a particular brand you like best?
Is it easy to do? If the resin does not come out good , can it be re done?
    Thanks

Thanks everyone! I like it enough that I’m trying to decide if I need to keep this one for myself or if it’s going in my Etsy shop.

Peggy, I’ve been using Gel du Soleil because it is single part… for some reason the measuring sort of freaks me out. Plus I just pour as much as I need. I know there are pros and cons to the different kinds/brands, but this is what I started with. I think it’s relatively easy to work with… learning the trick of using a lit match just over the surface to pop the bubbles was super helpful. I watched a few videos over at the Nunn Designs website that were pretty informative too.
