    Thanks for your encouragement, everyone.

Rocky, I have been applying a spray-on gloss finish — the Krylon brand. This piece had two coats, I think.

I used the Ranger alcohol inks. I can’t remember precisely which ones but Wild Plum and Sailboat Blue were among them for sure. I used one or both purple inks and a touch of yellow-orange–Butterscotch maybe? Have fun. It’s pretty foolproof–if you don’t like what you get, just wipe it off with acetone or blending solution!

Beautiful. Have you tried using cookie cutters as cuff bases? Do you think the colors will work on it?

I am not sure what you mean by cuff bases…do you mean cutting them and reshaping them to the contours of a wrist? Interesting thought!

Oh, I am sure the inks would work. I have been lightly sanding whatever metal I am using to make sure there is no coating on it — and also to give it a little bit of “tooth.”

Yes, cutting and reshaping they make a nice base to bead or even add leather on it. Will add a picture soon.

Maybe patterned polymer clay glued on will look good too. Your design has given me lot of ideas now :) .
