Maybe the Squirrel?

About this design:

Just fooling around here but I have to show you. I was stringing combos of yellows and grays leftover from all the yellow projects I've been working on. Then I thought of the squirrel. Now how to frame him? This is aluminum 12 gauge wire I wrapped around a prescription pill bottle for the shape. I should have hammered it but I was just to antsy to get at wrapping it in these corn-kernel-yellow seed beads I have fallen in love with. I had only 30 gauge wire for wrapping so it's a little too invisible but Hubby likes it so I might just finish it (there is no clasp yet but I have more aluminum wire for that). Comments, please......

Components:

Squirrel, seed beads, gray recycled glass rounds, czech glass in 2 sizes, yellow lace agate, all LB. pearls, rondelles, wire, all who knows. :) and you can maybe see the stainless steel wire guards I got from firemountain.

Those.yellow seed beads are a ovely color…I want more around the squirrel. And that is such a lovely color combination, I would have never thought of that. All in all pretty.

I think you’re right about putting more around the squirrel. I was going to wrap something else inside of the circle or weave it across behind the squirrel but I was wondering if it was just too much wasting of time. :) I was having fun with it, though…. I will probably work on it some more and just keep it for me.

I love this color combo. One of my faves. The squirrel is so cute! Can you wrap some of those yelloe seed beads on the INSIDE of the circle? That may add just the right touch.

Zeus looks like he takes his job very seriously!

Becky, this is so fun! I like the focal the way it is. I can also picture it as a cute pair of earrings. :)

I love this, aren’t pill bottles just the perfect size, I used them too. I really love the colors, how about a little nut above the squirrel. Zeus looks very involved in helping you, it is hard to believe, that this is the Zeus that it’s afraid of thunders :D

Love the color….I would just redo it wrapping the seedbeads INSIDE of it instead of outside! Or…one inside and maybe one outside…every other sort of thing–maybe using another color like clear or deeper yellow/topaz. I do love the beads you used…great choice!

Okay I see everyone has an opinion about the seed beads. So I have another suggestion. How about putting the beads on top of the ring, which would technically still be the outside, but the bead itself would now be facing out…instead of the hole. The beads are very tiny & hard to see. This would make their lovely color more visible.

Great design. I really like the color combination and the various sizes of the beads. Going tomark it a fav. May steal a little of the design … Seed bead, grey bead, ronndel, smaller bead, rondel, grey bead, rondel, sead bead…portion.

I like it just as it is (well, a clasp would be good…). Lovely colors, and the squirrel is awesome.

Thanks for all the suggestions and encouragement! :) I will play around with it and try a few of them. More pictures to come…. And, yes, Zeus is a hugger, protective, my baby, and a big chicken. :)
