Two Bracelets

About this design:

This was my first attempt at the ladder stitch. I wanted to make it wrapped about three times, but OMG to much for me :)

The other one is just strung on Irish wax linen I just received from LB.

Components:

Shell beads, Brown leather, Copper tree button and thread. Bone three hole beads, smoked quartz chips, Magnesite faceted rounds, 6/0 metallic iris seed beads, chocolate brown Irish waxed linen, brass jump rings and clasp.

The ladder stitch does take a bit of time, eh? ;)

Thank you ladies! You always make my day with the wonderful comments.

I love those bone rectangle beads. Just wish I could remember where I got them.

Yes Peggy the ladder stitch takes forever. It reminds me of mending clothes, so that’s probably why I stopped at the one wrap. :P

Very nice Wanda! I like the bone beads and the 3 rows between. I pulled some chips out of my stash and have been working with them. Long ago I swore I would never suffer through chips again. But they really do make a special statement.

I have never tried the ladder stitch. It’s too much like sewing. I took a couple classes a few years ago with tiny seedbeads and fireline and several needles going in different directions. OH NO!!!

I like them both, but those bone beads are really cool looking so I think that this one is my fave. I did a few ladder stitch bracelets last fall and can understand the frustration with 3x wrap, miles and miles of tread. Julie, if I can do it so can everybody else, I’m terrible with treads and needles.

    Thanks Julie and Asia!

Since the inspiration train is going around, I have to admit my inspiration came from Angela for the ladder stitch bracelet. Her ladder stitch square beads ones look so awesome, and I want to do one like that. So I thought I would start small :)

    Thanks Susie!

You know you have to many beads when you can’t find two beads you made oh about two or three weeks ago. I am looking for the beaded beads I made that your design inspired me to make, Susie. So I can add them to a necklace I want to make with my leftover bone beads from this bracelet, to go with it. GAH!!!

They are very summary, I’d probably never take them off all summer long!
