Patient

About this design:

I found these adorable tiny butterfly links and knew they would make a great multi-metal chain. They've been sitting around for a while.

I'm going to an "Institute" [formerly known as teacher inservice training] soon and wanted something to dress up a comfy tee. The Love is Patient pendant matched but it needed something more than chain but less than beads.

It's hard to see from the photos but I've alternated brass and copper butterflies. It's really cool in person.

Components:

Brass butterfly links. Copper butterfly links. Deconstructed silver oval chain. Ceramic Love is Patient pendant (suzieqbeads Etsy) and unglazed heart charms (scorchedearthonetsy).

I agree with the other chicks. This is a very cool and casual look. (And very creative,I might add).
Natch..when I read that you were going to the “institute” it cracked me up. I was going to say, ”Good for you. Taking the first step is the best way to recovery.” I was picturing you going through other people’s suitcases for beads and bits of chain. (So you wouldn’t have to go “cold turkey.” LOL
PS..Hope the nurses are nice. ;)

As you described, just perfect to dress up a comfy tee ! Like Nancy Mc, I laughed about you going to the “institute” and pictured lots of people in white coats – - – hope it’s more fun than it sounds.

    Wow! Thanks ladies.
First, don’t you just love the term “Institute”??? The Dept of Education thinks it’s a better descriptor than “training.” I don’t think it will be *fun* which is why I knew I’d be needing a comfy tee… and cute jewelry.

Second, the little links come from an Etsy shop called GemmeTresor. She has lots of other links and findings and other goodies too. I know I’ve been spending too much time on Etsy. As Nancy suggested, I need “treatment.” If you need more evidence of my “problem,” here’s a pic of Darcy helping me shop.

This is wonderful casual jewelry. That must have been a lot of work connecting all the links. I like your mix of metals, too. Oh, and “Darcy” is the cutest ever!
