peas in a pod

About this design:

I made this awhile back, just for fun. Its flat peyote that I stitched lengthwise and zipped up except in the center where the "peas" are. I saw something similar online as a choker, but I'm much more of a bracelet girl when it comes to beadweaving. The trick I learned with any flat peyote is to use a wire for the first row, and it really helped keep this one in line.

Before I knew how to do tubular peyote, I would make all my clasps from flat peyote and zip them up. I never use metal because I’m highly allergic, I can’t even wear my wedding band! I think that’s why I love bead weaving so much :-)
