Blue Coral Necklace

About this design:

Here is the latest in my Vintaj Big Kick fun. I have embossed the blank which I cut from a sheet of Vintaj metal. I just love the sea life embossing folder!
I wasn't sure if the necklace looked too heavy at the focal so I flipped the 3 beads on one side to see which one I liked better then decided that I liked the asymmetry of that. What do you all think!

Blue coral, freshwater pearls, Czech glass, Swarovski and Preciosa crystals, Vintaj findings and components. Handmade clasp made from Parawire.

Love the blue in this. It reminds me of Montana blue, well the dark beads that is. Just gorgeous Angela!

The asymmetrical is PERFECT! I *really* like the blue coral… and I usually steer away from coral since it seems not to hold it’s dye-color.
Great piece. Simple but intriguing colors.

Thank you all for your kind words! I’m glad you like the asymmetry too!

Julie this coral is it’s natural color believe it or not. How gorgeous huh? I found it at a local bead shop in Sebastian, FL and they even showed me a large natural chunk of it and it’s the same beautiful blue. Needless to say I stocked up on a bunch and have been hoarding it ever since. LOTR reference….”My precious”…. hahaha

Jeeeze..I’m really loving that Blue Coral. This necklace is both soft and powerful at the same time. Love the addition of the watery glass bead.

I never heard of blue coral. It is beautiful. I think your solution worked perfectly, as the focal may have looked a little heavy if the beads were symmetrical. It’s a very sophisticated necklace!

Love it! I really like the chain offsets, I also like to use this type of design. Pple get a little bit freaked out sometimes if it is not perfectly symmetrical but I think its really creative and out of the ordinary to mix it up.

Love it – did not know coral came in blue – how wonderful. I’ll have to look for some. And I much prefer asymmetrical pieces these days myself.
