Tribal Lucite Necklace

About this design:

I fell in love with these Lucite beads when I saw them on BP's flash destash a month or so ago, but I didn't purchase them. Then I saw them a few weeks ago and took the plunge. I really like the combo of brown and green. The necklace is reversable, and I believe the Lucite is from the 1970s.

Components:

Patinated brass blanks, Lucite rounds and heishi, brass round beads, copper spacers, green rubber tubing, seed beads, and a Lucite button closure.

    WOW!!! SO cool!
I really love those funky brown and green beads. What’s old is new again. Great patina-on-brass… as usual. Seriously! It’s your “trademark”!!! :)

Thanks for all the great comments!

Deb, rubber tubing is also known as hollow rubber cord. I have a couple lengths of it it different colors, so I used the green that I had to make the beads in between the hieshi. I just cut it to the length I wanted!

    Thanks Ladies!

Miss E, there is a pair of earrings in the first photo. I doubt I’ll make a pair using the brass blank, but one never knows….
