Leaf in the Wind

About this design:

The leaf was labeled antique copper but was actually brass. Of course I didn't notice until later. After the difficulty I had getting the pendant to come together and the leaf to lay flat, I wasn't about to take it apart. Now I think I like the brass in the middle breaking up the copper. Opinions please??

Components:

Apatite, Yellow Jade, and New Jade rounds, Kyanite pillow, antique brass plated leaf, antique copper plated chain and findings, (all LB) lampwork focal

I think the brass works. It looks great where you’ve placed it–don’t change it. Lovely colors and design.

I agree with Laud, don’t change a thing. The leaf is perfect as is, I think it adds an interesting element of contrast to the copper. Your lampwork focal is stunning. Great design!

Gail, this is a wonderful design. I wouldn’t change a thing. The lamp work focal is beautiful and your hard work getting the leaf to lay the just way you wanted it was well worth the extra effort!

I like it, it’s a carefree, whimsical, fresh design all the divergent elements compliment each other, leave it be.

Thanks everyone! It’s kind of funny that this was supposed to be a quick and easy thing to do while I was waiting for supplies for another project. It didn’t end up that way at all. You probably could have heard me screech a block away when I discovered the leaf wasn’t copper!!
Peggy, The chain is called a”flat and oval ring chain” with 4×2 links and yes, the focal is lampwork but I don’t remember where the heck I got it from. Etsy, maybe?

Everything works together perfectly here, Gail – - the touch of brass is more than OK ! I especially like how you used bead caps on just the bottom of the two dark blue beads – - -
