Fluffy's Girl!

About this design:

And she's pink! I think she looks sweet! This is actually one of my favorite necklaces at the moment. Used some rubberized beads(they're pretty neat). Would have liked an iridescent peanut seed bead, but I had to make do with the chain instead. Maybe LB will stock the peanut beads in the future! PLEASE!

Components:

Ceramic owl pendant, rubber beads, seaglass sticks, wood petals, some sort of jasper flat coins, Czech glass pink AB rectangles, antique silver chain and toggle, craft wire, jump rings.

She is also a cutie. They are both really cute pendants actually but you didn’t cutesify the necklace which makes it really work. I’m also in awe of your wirewrapping skills. Mine isn’t consistent yet. And I also would love to have peanut seed beads to finish off a necklace. They just give such a textured look.
    Peanut seed beads…peanut seed beads.
Hey I know they read comments so let’s start inserting that randomly in sentences. I wonder if peanut seed.beads that would peanut seed beads work?

    Elis Mom says:

Hmm. Wire wrapping….I was intimidated by it for a long time. Now it’s all I do, and it’s not always consistent, but I think it just adds to the charm of a piece. Deb, I think you do a great job with your wraps!

Channeling the peanut seed beads now…..Oh LB, please deliver peanut seed beads to you devoted masses! Ohm!

You guys are funny… but yes the peanut seed beads should be stocked by FB…ah hum!!!!!!!!!

You guys are hilarious! I’ve never used peanut seed beads, but I will also try to channel them for you. I may need to give em a try if LB stocks them.
Your necklace is so sweet! I like the 3rd picture, the colors really pop. Both of your owl necklaces are so beautiful.

  5. Elis Mom

    Thanks!

Angela, the screen on my laptop seems to be fading, so photo editing is a bit of a shot in the dark, but I think I’ve managed to compensate for the moment!

Also need to channel rubberized beads! Ohmmm!

  6. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Angela I’ve never used peanut seed beads either. But I follow a lot of jewelry artist on facebook that use them. Beaders in England seem to use them more for some reason. 1st place I saw them was Songbeads & I loved them.

I like the look with the toggle in the front.

where do you typically position it to lay on the chest? is there any place the toggle shouldn’t be place?

Mmmmmm … peanuts … ;) …. This is another wonderful necklace … so much fun and funkiness with the rubberized beads (I have some too).

She is so cute! Fluffy well love her. I’ve never used either the peanut seed Beads or the rubberized beads but they sure are neat.

  14. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Thanks for all the kind words!

Peggy, I like the clasp up front around the collar bone for ease of use and visual interest. You can put it anywhere. One of the recent Earthenwood designs features the clasp right up front, which I really like!

And peanut seed beads would be so cool!
Wanda, the rubberized beads are the 2 diamonds in front and the green rounds further up. They tend to be economical, and come in a variety of jewel toned colors!

TOO TOO cute Suzie! Love the owl and love the sticks. Especially impressed with the subtle but effective flower as your link between owl and strands.
I ordered some PEANUT SEED BEADS from another website — because LB doesn’t have them YET??? — and they are so cool.

  20. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

    Thanks Gail and Julie!

Julie, I was trying to tie the eyes of the hootie into the rest of the necklace by using the flower link. I have some that are the exact match, but they are too small IMHO.
