My Little Elephant

About this design:

So, I got this cool pendant, and had a hard time with the design. Go simple...go elaborate. Big vs. small. I had some African sand cast beads that I thought would be perfect, but they were definately not! So, after alot of fiddling around, this is the current design. It may change, but I'm going to sleep on it. My camera batteries died before I got any more photos, so I'll post more tomorrow.

Components:

Round Rabbit elephant pendant, porcelain saucers, seed beads, bone discs, lampwork discs, lucite saucers, crystal rondelles, ceramic rounds, copper bead caps, liver stone faceted rounds, brass gear and lobster clasp...and a few other things, I'm sure!

Wonderful! I see lively, and fun, and witty. The pendant is great on its own, but those porcelain bead are a perfect match, and the colors of the other beads just keep the eye moving.

Wonderfully cool! With elephants you just kind of have to go BIG!! Perfect mix of bead colors, sizes, textures and shapes. An oooohhhhhhhh … aaaahhhhhh elephant! :D

Think everything about this works very well – - the size of the beads is perfect for the pendant, your slightly asymetrical design add interest, and the whole thing looks very much in proportion. Great necklace !!

Just love the Round Rabbit elephant, he is so cute! Those porcelain beads really go well with him, and the chunky..ness of the design is wonderful. I think it fits well with the elephant focal(chunky beads, big elephant) Fabulous piece Susie!

I can see why you wanted to create something with this adorable pendant! Sleeping on a design is often a very good thing to do. Get some perspective.
Whatever you decide in the end will be the best, I’m sure. Meanwhile…if you haven’t already enjoyed this little video, you might like to see it. This little baby elephant frolicking in the ocean gives greater meaning to cuteness.
