Forest Fire and Smoky Sky

About this design:

Forest Fire and Smoky Sky was one of the first necklaces i ever made, about 18 years ago. Most of the beads had been given to me by the late Arleen Sutton, who was my mentor.

Components:

Lots of different glass beads, both transparent and not, some howlite and other things. These beads mostly no longer exist in stores. If they did, I would love to get more of the glass black ravens.

There were also some wooden beads in the design.

You are indeed a very talented person to create that wirewrapped pendant with such precision. Anyway, how long is this necklace. It appears to have a lot of length or is it more than one strand. Its very interesting and I like it very much.

I really like this design/style and all the different beads you’ve used!! A very nice eclectic mix. Love the colors/sizes and I especially like those deep orange drop beads. Oh yes, and the bird bead as well!

@ Granny Chick aka Nancy . . . it is four strand, two of which are all smoky sky . . . the smaller two. I THINK the longest strand is maybe 24″. It was not very well planned as to how the strands came out . . . they have kind of intertwined. I’m not really sure if my wire-wrapping on the pendant is all that great, but your encouragement is making my head swell, so I had better definitely PRACTICE.

Thanks for your comments too Lois D. IU like to have lots of color in some things like this, texture, different colors and sizes. I used to have more of those little raven beads made of glass. I hope I can fidn the rest of them somewhere . . . . .

There is hope after all . . . maybe I really do have some talent and skills after all.

Thanks Granny Chick . . . it is so nice to have supportive feedback from you and the other beaders. It is like having a special place to go to get support and ideas . . . which is why it is there.
