Send Me Brown Flowers

About this design:

Large beads with large wrapped loops formed on either side. The flower is the middle piece of an embellishment from Michael's. (I used the small filigree part in the mint pearl bracelet.) It is tied to the loops and then the strings come through the center and attach the small beads. The necklace is choker length.

Components:

Magnesite turquoise beads large and small. Antique brass flower. Antique brass wire. S-lon cord. Copper.chain.

I think that PEANUT SEED BEADS would look good in place of the chain ;)

Thank you everybody. This did have a large metal bead as the focal but I just didn’t like it.

Outstanding! Deb, about how big are the magnesite turquoise beads? Your wire-wrapped bead are in perfect proportion to the focal leaves. Wow, you are so talented. I am jealous. I SO WISH I COULD STEAL YOUR TALENT!!

  15. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Thank you so much to everyone. I do appreciate it…especially when it’s a semi MacGyvered piece.

Lois I think those magnesite beads must be 16mm…they seem to be 1 size bigger than the 14mm shell pearls I have. (if you look close you will see 1 is smaller but it’s hardly noticeable)

    Gail Layne says:

Great improvisation Deb! Love the look! It has kind of a 70′s “Flower Power” vibe with an updated look.

Oh, darn! Now I need to go look yet more closely to fin a somewhat smaller bead in that charming necklace. I looked and I can’t tell which one it is for sure. Yup turquoise and copper is a really great combination . . . are these last coup;e of days meant for Native American designs???? Seems like it. Great job!!
