Wicked Wire Bangles

About this design:

This past was my week to work with wire. I didn't plan it that way. It just happened.

The two brass bracelets are made with 14ga red brass wire and the copper one is made with 12ga wire. These are scribble designs and aren't planned when I start. I just cut the wire and go where ever it leads me.

I did some flame patina on the two brass bangles but left the copper alone. The last picture is of the three of them together.

Components:

12 gauge copper wire, 14 gauge red brass wire, and sturdy pliers

These are so creative! I admire your wire working skills and you strength. I find it hard enough trying to bend and shape 16g, let alone 14 or 12! ;)
Really cool finishes on these too!

Thanks for the comments and compliments Everyone. The bangles are a bit whimsical but scribble designs are supposed to be that way.
Angela, I’ve been working with wire for about 6 years so I’ve had plenty of time to build up my finger muscles. I also have a handy highly technical pair of pliers…. They are needle nose pliers from the .99 store and the jaws are wrapped with several layers of masking tape. Works like a charm. :D

Fabulous! I have to try the tape on my pliers. :) I have that latex coating and you get maybe one use before it rips off.
