Drops of Crimson

About this design:

I was inspired by Tinkerhawk's fresh pick "Vampires" yesterday. Even though I didn't have any of the components I used the same color palette to start something Halloweeny. Halloween is my second favorite holiday!

Components:

Red Pepper Toho seed beads from LB, Swarovski teardrop and bicones from my stash, red glass rondells from Bealls, all the rest...chain, beads and bat from Walmart.

This is really so neat and I love how you put the bat a loop away from the clasp. How clever.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments! I’m glad you agree that it could be worn outside the Halloween season. My idea was to make a piece that was more grown up and classy than the usual novelty Halloween jewelry.

What a great design, Angela – - although “pretty goth” sounds like an oxymoron, this is how I might describe this !

Actually Becky, the bat was part of an earring set I bought 2 years ago. So you won’t be able to find it now. I bought it to decontruct and then reconstruct it into something better… as Ron would say. ;)

Maybe I can make my own bat. :) I think I have a project for today now. :) I have some sterling Edward Gorey bat earrings I love to wear this time of year or whenever I get ornery. :) I think they need a necklace and bracelet to match. The earrings have little garnets above the bats so you already have my color scheme planned here. :) !!!
