Down to Earth

About this design:

Well, I finally completed a fall piece but it seems I was exceptionally accident prone while assembling this. First I dropped the whole thing while checking the drape. Then I used some really pretty crimp tubes which promptly let go when I picked it up. After that I forgot to put the chain on and well, you get the picture....

Dragon's Blood coin,Carnelian Nuggets, Turritella Agate, Black Lace Agate, Brecciated Jasper, Picture Jasper, Rhyolite, Rainforest Marble, Brass chain, beads and leaves, brass plated bead caps and clasp.

This is so lovely Gail. And as I read about your mishaps it reminded me of some of mine. But you’ve created another wonderful piece of art. The colors are perfection.

Thanks everyone, you all made my day! I think the jinx on this piece is ongoing. I posted it using my laptop and everything looked fine. When I came back on with my iPad the colors look horrible! There is an awful mustard yellow cast to everything when looking at it on my iPad that really isn’t there at all! I hope it’s just my particular IPad and no one else is getting those colors!

Sorry it was a such a bugger to accomplish. But you know, it’s a somewhat of a comfort to know that others have been there……AND I HAVE! :|
The aggravation was worth the outcome in this case.
    Well done!

I saw this yesterday and couldn’t comment at the time. Remember thinking “that’s pretty”. So today I get to click on the close-up photos…my gosh those are some grogeous beads/stones!! Just amazing colors!! That is a beautifully designed necklace.

Sorry to hear about all the little jinxes. Boy could I tell some tales.

Lovely–well worth all that trouble! (There are pieces that just refuse to go together. Either the crimps let go or you see you’ve missed a bead too late or… It can be maddening.) Hang in there. You’re doing great.
