Football Sunday fishtail wrap

About this design:

I loved the fishtail braids and bracelets that Ali created, and I wanted to try one. I didn't have time to order the silk ribbon, so I bought some organza (stiffer but pliable and nice color/texture) and randomly dyed it. I made two bracelets - this is the second, which was better executed. I added in the Amiet wraps because those junctions were less tidy and I liked the structure and the look they added to the bracelet. It is 15.5" long.

Components:

1 mm seafoam green leather (double strand), 1 mm natural hemp, 7/16" aqua organza ribbon (dyed with dyes from Dharma), teal Amiet beading thread, 18 mm antique brass pewter star button

Too Cool! This is really unique with all the colors and textures you’ve used. I like it a lot! And you dyed your own ribbon! I’ve dyed a lot of crochet thread and embroidery floss but never ribbon. Yours turned out great! :)
I would love to see another picture of it double wrapped as you would wear it.

Oh wow! Love the color combo on this one too! I’ve never seen these before, can you wash them when they get dirty? These colors are gorgeous but I’d have the light part filthy in no time!

Thanks, everyone :) it’s nice to get feedback. I don’t know about washing these … I made a leather/beaded 3x wrap for a guy who promptly wore it IN THE SHOWER and then was like, “Umm, a bead came undone, and …” And that’s with judicious knots AND hypo cement. So, I’m not sure. Anyone else with any experience with that?
