Components:

Oh my, that IS a wonderful button and you certainly did it justice!

Wait, you LOS’ed the clasp to BLACK ?? I didn’t know LOS would do that! I LOVE using black but have a hard time with findings. I’ve tried antiquing solutions and patinas but the solutions didn’t work well and the patina was like paint. Does LOS work on plated stuff? Will it go black on other metals besides copper?

Thank you :D Gail LOS will only work on bare copper and silver, never tried on the plated stuff, but I’m thinking that it has to be protected with some coating, it does not work on brass for brass you need a patina with ferric nitrate . LOS will darken copper and silver to black if you dissolve it in hot water and put your pieces when it is still hot it works on instant, then buff a little bit to highlite it and preserve with sealer.
