So super cool Becky. One of my favorite sci-fi books from the early 60′s is The Flying Eyes…by J. Hunter Holly. I thought of that as soon as I saw these. Great wirework.

Love your cute peepers Becky! But seriously… your wirework is awesome! Rrrreeerrr!

And I don’t often give a Rrrrreeerrr. So there.

I totally agree with everyone regarding your wire work, what a fantastic job, those links are not that easy to make, did you use a mandrel, or pliers? :D

    :) ! xoxoxo to all!
Asia–I start with the 3mm mandrel doing each end first-but you have to figure out how long to cut it before you start. Then the middle, same mandrel and then I finish tweaking with a round nose pliers. You can do end, middle, end but it isn’t easy getting the middle this short if you do it that way. Then I hammer it a bit to toughen it up.

Becky, I know how great an artist you are but those coily things are just beyond belief. Of course I can’t do those things so I am in awe of everything it seems. This is a wild piece I must say. A lot of skill displayed here but eyes hanging from my ears I don’t think I could do that. A bit over the top for this old lady. But I’d love to see them on someone else younger.

    Gail Layne says:

Becky, These actually made me laugh out loud! They’re so fantastically funky and original and FUN! As far as the wire work goes, you did such a wonderful job on those coils that I thought they were springs at first. I just started trying to teach myself wire stuff so I know they couldn’t have been easy to do. Maybe you should teach a class? :-)
