OLD DEVIL MOON

About this design:

I am on an Owl kick, and this time, tried the glass owl. I'm not sure he's done yet; but we're getting there, I think. I have changed the photos. Someone suggested that I shoot outside, but since I can't, I think this is at least better.

Components:

Just about all Czech glass, a few beads and chain I had on hand, and last but not least, the star of the show, Unicorn Beads Tahitian Vanilla Owl.

I keep staring at it. SO SO many interesting things to look at. I like the purple nuggets contrasting with the rounds. LOVE the little leaves. The Moon face is subtle but SO perfect! And of course Mr. Owl is adorable. :)

All the different stones and glass really add interest to the piece, and compliment the focal perfectly!

I’ve been eyeing the owl for a while as a possible gift for a friend who sells “Origami Owl” jewelry. To go with him I had amethyst in mind but I love the bit of beach glass you popped in there along with the maple leaves! Great job!!

PS. Have you ever tried taking your pictures outside? The colors seem to come out better in the natural light and I’d love to be able see the colors of the other beads (brown?) you used.

You’re right, Gail. My photos are not good. I’ve added a few more that I took, and I think they show up better. Not easy to take outside photos where I live,, but I will try to do better in the future.
