Beautiful beads. I’m fascinated by the turquoise color. You made them look like real stones.I don’t know if that was your intent, but theyre great. Good luck with your sales.

    Thanks everyone!

Becky: After trying the Sculpey III, Premo Sculpey and Fimo…I prefer the Premo sculpey…I think it is the smoothest after baking…also if you try to cut geodes, the premo works great for that…I think the others are kinda crumbly..almost like trying to slice a sweet tart candy or something but the premo slices really well after baking..

Nancy: Thanks! :) I might have to change my name to Princess Popover! ;) I know how diets go…anything and everything reminds you of what you aren’t supposed to eat! Good luck with your diet! :)

These are fantastic! I agree with you about the different PCs…I prefer the Premo Sculpey too! I found the Fimo very crumbly.

Love all of them! I have an over abundance of clay that is probably really dusty :) Don’t know why I bought it, have never used it.

Just curious: how do you cut the geodes without slicing a fingertip?

    Thanks everyone! :)

Becky: I actually use an X-Acto knife…I had tried using my clay slicing blade and it was just too bulky and hard to maneuver, not to mention it made my hand hurt like the dickens…so then I tried just a regular razor blade like you have in a box cutter but it was still too fat to manipulate the way that I wanted so I got an X-Acto knife from wally world and it’s almost like using a paring knife to slice pieces off an apple….It is just MUCH easier to manipulate…and I actually have poked myself once or twice…There is a tutorial on sculpey’s website that shows you how, here it is:…it tells you to tape the fingers on the hand that hold the bead but I found that the bead kept slipping and I thought that would be more disastrous than just holding it with bare fingers! But yeah, as long as you are careful you should be okay…

I actually haven’t cut myself doing the geodes…I cut myself slicing clay about 2 weeks ago…The clay slicing blade I have is just a straight blade with no handles and I apparently wasn’t paying attention when I picked it up to slice…I had the slicing end up and the dull end down and I pressed down hard with my index finger to cut and it cut alright..just not the clay! Ouch! 8O

Jess, I love them all but, you know that I have my faves, I myself prefer Fimo, but you have to condition it very well :D

Jess, there is one trick for cutting canes you might not know, take a thread (sewing thread works great), wrap it all the way around the cane so that the ends of the thread pass each other, grab both ends of the thread and pull. The thread cuts the cane by exerting even pressure all the way around and through.
