MOONGLOW

About this design:

someone made a labradorite necklace a couple of months ago; there have been more since. It's always been a favorite, so I thought I'd have a go.

Components:

Puff Lab, chain on hand. LB silver. Drop from LB crystal opal and some tiny crystals that I had.

Judy..this is stunning!!! I can imagine the flashes of blue coming off those stones. Are you keeping this one?

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. Nancy – no I’m not keeping this one; I’m really not a bracelet person. Question to all of you. The stones tend to rotate and not stay in their proper place – is it ok to put the slightest bit of glue between them so that they stay put?

What a pretty design Judy! I love labradorite too and these are particularly lovely stones you have.
I think it’s fine if they flip around, just me.

Beautiful design Judy! It looks fabulous on! I’d let the stone flip too, but like Angela said, that’s just me.

Gorgeous! I agree with the others, it wouldn’t really bother me if the stones flip a bit, that’s part of its charm. =^__^= I love how you used the little flourish patterned teardrops, they look perfect with the Briolettes!

Love it, the stones are just gorgeous, did you try seed beads as spacers, it might help, but I would not worry about them flipping :D

Did try seed beads; didn’t work.

Don’t worry about flipping. It just adds to the “movement” of the piece. Lovely!

Yes, I agree with Elis Mom. Do not put glue on them. Let them flip, movement is a good thing.

Hi Folks – I have a question. I had a problem w/the lab beads (which I didn’t get from LB) the color I thought was great, but some of them hadn’t been drilled properly and the hole isn’t big enough for me to string them – have you encountered this? Were you able to fix it?

  17. Sonja J
    Sonja J says:

Do you have a handheld bead reamer? You have to be very gentle, and the ones with diamond tips are the best, but there are plenty of inexpensive sets around that work fairly well.

Thanks for the input – I will invest in one.
