He Loves Me Knot

About this design:

Challenged my soldering skills with this love knot pendant…trying not to melt these rings into one big puddle. And a couple of more V Day necklaces.

These are all wonderful! I particularly like the wire wrapped heart. Did you also make the little heart charms? They’re adorable!

Lynda, Your skills are getting better and better as you try more techniques! :)
I especially like the heart, but I am partial to wirewrap.

Thanks so much! Hoping these all find good homes very soon.

And hi, Angela! Aren’t those little charms adorable! I purchased them from a metal clay artist and boy, I wish I’d gotten more. This was my last one.

WAY cool!!! We seem to be up to nearly the same thing right now: I’ve also got stuck into soldering, heating, hammering and twisting over the last week — AND bough some more sterling wire only yesterday!! I’m so impressed by your soldering! Not at all sure I can match that yet (or even have the right tools!).

Hi, Monica…great to hear that we move to the same groove.
I just bought another torch. An upgrade from the small one in the kitchen appliance sections. This is a head that attaches directly to the butane canister.
Still small and easy to handle, but no refilling the torch! It’s by Sterno.
Cannot wait to get it in the mail!

About time you did, you’re so professional and productive! I bought that torch model straight away last summer, when I thought it was time to move on from just stringing beads! Took my husband along to the shop for advice! (He’s into both electronics and iron forging.) It has melted blobs of everything I’ve thrown at it so far :-) — I mean: I can make headpins out of everything I’ve tested, and I can also soften bronze and brass with it. A future project will be melting down scrap metal into something useful. And getting hold of metal to forge something else than sterling! (This last might even happen this weekend!)
