Graceful Moon

About this design:

The Grace lampwork kalera was my very 1st purchase at LB. I fell in love with it because of my moon addiction and Van Gogh's Starry Night love. Later I bought the toggle and other beads and started on it. A tacky design with cheap seed beads and some other crap. So it sat and sat and sat and sat and sat some more. Then a generous friend sent some destash items and the cats spilled every single tray with projects. I guess it was good luck the cats spilled this because it did make me relook at it and see it needed to be ripped apart and TOTALLY redone. I'm still on the fence about the top part and the dangle. But since my hair hides that I'm going to leave it.

L.B.- Grace Cobalt Celestial Kalera, Czech Smoky Moons, Czech Cobalt Rounds, Czech Sapphire Rounds, Czech Clear/Silver Rounds, Star Toggle. Michael's- Open Star Metal Beads, Rhinestone Rondells, Freshwater Pearls, Silver Beads. Generous Friend- Round Blue Stones??

Thanks Jess… I appreciate the compliment. You should have seen how awful the previous *design* was. I thank the cats for spilling this tray! :) They forced me to really look at it.

Hey Deb.This is just beautiful, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It tells a story, and is very romantic. I’m loving the combo of the blue stones and pearls. The star findings make it so special, imho.
The blue stones may be Jasper or Sodalite? Very hard to tell. There are so many blue stones out there.
    Beautiful work!

p.s. We had 6 more inches this morning during rush hour. It took me 45 minutes to drive 8 miles. Then on the way out of the lot at the end of the day, I got stuck on the hump the plow left. I had to crawl under the front of my car to dig out the snow with my mittened hands. Tons of people drove past and had to watch me but nobody helped and it was one of them who had caused me to brake on the hump which hung me up in the first place. Grrrr

Obviously, I made it home finally, (due to my considerable Minnesota driving skills) :) but it was a blast! NOT

OMG no one helped you!!!! That is just wrong and badly mannered and so freaking selfish. I’m appalled.

Thank you Becky, Asia, Gail, C Witt, Julia, Beading Hippie and Jess…again…lol.

That kalera is a hard piece to match with other elements. (I have one sitting on my round-to-it table.) I like what you’ve done–think it works really well. I’m inspired!

  29. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Thank you Laud. You’re right…it is a hard one to match. I had things the right color but not in keeping with how *rich* the kalera looks. This is why I never finished the first design….it just looked cheap. And it didn’t need a lot going on in the necklace part.

Thank you also Judy…hopefully it.wont take you over a year, like me, to get your design.

Thank you also Angela, Del, Mary S. and Wanda.
All you Chickies are the best
