"A Taste of Turquoise"

About this design:

I was inspired to create "A Taste of Turquoise" from the large ancient amber egg given to me by a dear friend. I let it sit for a while and then started to look for some components to do it justice. I decided to use the large coral barrel and a smaller turquoise one. Two large filigree silver beads really added to the piece. I also chose turquoise squares, used in stacks, two red coral, one bone bead and several other silver ones. I finished it with a large etched heart toggle clasp. This is a very chunky necklace that really makes a statement.

Components:

ancient amber egg, large coral barrel, small turquoise barrel, turquoise squares, two red coral rounds, two large filigree silver beads, other silver accents, large heart toggle

I’ve always loved turquoise and coral together. The stacked turquoise discs really bring it all together. Beautiful, bold and chunky!

I like all the elements you used, but I especially like the turquoise stacks, which look neat but edgy too. Cool!

I also love the disks, they make the piece somewhat tribal and the intense red/coral really attracts attention.
