Chalcedony for Summer

About this design:

I bought this Chalcedony from Lima Beads because I thought it would be perfect with faded jeans. This is how the necklace and earrings turned out.

Components:

1/2 Strand chalcedony from Lima Beads, spacer beads I've had so long I forgot what they were. I'm thinking lace agate. Chain and clasp from my stash.

I’ve seen on here so many times that – ….”beads I’ve had so long I forget what they are ….” I’ve done a couple of times on here myself – with beads I didn’t label in platic bags or bottles, etc. – WHEN I first began beading and didn’t know better.
The reason I mention this is because – it sounds like maybe you gals still aren’t labeling them …. ? ‘Cause I know you all have at this a lot longer than I have. Actually this is in way of a ‘helpful’ hint and hopefully it’s taken that way. I’ll never be even ‘close’ to what you gals do – with your clay-ing and wire work, etc.

Oh!! by the way- I like the necklace ‘n earrings. Blue Chalcedony is so lovely and blue agate is just a match for it. It would go perfect with denim – jeans OR skirt with a denim ruffle too and western shirt OR peasnt blouse and what … ? silver hoops maybe, but FANCY ones – LOL

Beautiful stones and a wonderful design to show them off!

Syd- It must be nice to never be in such a rush to put your beads away that you forget to label them and to never even lose a tag! You simply must share your secret!

I love the roughness of the texture with the softness of the colors – beautiful necklace!

Stunning work, this would look beautiful with so many things! Love the rustic, natural look! Keep it up! =^__^=

P.S. To SYD Sydney H: I don’t know about everyone else, but speaking for me-I do label everything-I’m very detail oriented that way, and always have been. I won’t even put something in one of my bead boxes without a label. The only time I am unsure is when I win a “lot” from an eBay seller who doesn’t include stone names because they forgot/didn’t know/didn’t label, or when I have purchased a vintage piece from a garage sale/thrift store and taken it apart for beads. I usually ask my friends at jewelry stores or check my gemstone bible for reference to figure it out, though, and then label it properly. =^__^=

Gorgeous stones, fantastic design to showcase them, BTW I do not label despite being organized, just rely on my memory, I might regret it sometime ;) :D
