Hidden Strength

About this design:

The leather cords were wound with copper wire before the Sari silk, enabling it to hold a round shape without being stiff, and inspiring the name of this piece. It is also befits the friend for whom I made it.

Components:

Sari silk, leather cord, copper wire, TierraCast copper angel wings

    Love this!
Love the extremes of soft silk and strong metal!
Perfect title and one lucky friend!

Ummmm………care to do a tute on how you wove the ribbon onto the wire? Please? :-)

Thank you so much, Mary! :D
What I did is sort of a variation (or perhaps simply a different method) of doing the fishtail wrap. I do plan to make more of these so I shall take some photos as I work next time and put together a tutorial. :)

Beautiful piece – lucky friend! I’d also love to see a tutorial. My attempts to use ribbon have not gone well….

Alto’ the bracelet is not to my taste – I applaud you for thinking of others – and the work you put into your thoughts. Would there were many more such as you than there are.

My attempt to repeat the design turned into something different, but I will do so and put together a tutorial!
