Ibotta Bought Beads

About this design:

Strange Title I know. I have an App on my phone that is for shopping. If I buy certain items I get money. I can then transfer it to PayPal and buy beads. I'm lucky that the things you get rebates on are things I eat anyway, like Special K cereal, snack bars, milk, Green Giant veggies. The offers change frequently. If anyone is interested in signing up I can email you my link. And yes I will get a little money if a friend signs up through me. I've had the App since before Christmas and I've cashed in $20 twice. Not bad considering I shop for one on a tight budget.

1st necklace is Green Flight. 2nd necklace Ocean Treasures.

Components:

1) Earthenwood Flying Bird pendand, Czech Luster Verde bellflower, Czech Chartreuse oval, Vintaj bird connector, Vintaj hook clasp, Nunn Design leaf connector and copper leaf, all from LB. Silver foil millefiori beads Michaels, seed beads, serpentine beads, chain from stash. 2) Gaea Earth Ocean Bundle, Vintaj Sand Dollar pendant, Czech Jungle Camouflage rondelles, Vintaj toggle bar, butterscotch waxed linen all from LB. Wood bead, wood ring, seed beads, sea shell and chain from my stash.

Thank you everyone. I appteciate it. Unfortinately the Sand dollar necklace has to be redone. It may not look unbalanced but it is in weight…..wore it one day and the sand dollat kept crawling up to my right ear. CRAP. I have been trying to think of a way to make the other side weigh the same. Becky saw this on FB and suggested some ideas but they wont add enough. Pooh pooh pooh.

Way cool, Deb! Love ‘em both too!

    Thinking about the weight issue……..
Don’t know if it would work, but what if you weighted the pendant area somehow? Not sure how……just brain storming.

They are both fabulous, Deb! I really love the colors in the bird pendant one, those greens look gorgeous together! Sorry that your other one isn’t staying put :( The only thing I can think of to try, would be to move the ceramic beads down to the middle. Have three little ones on the one side then the other four on the other side of the pendant. Then the side with the three beads do the wood, shell and clasp. The one with the four do the Czech glass, but what do I know…just some help for you to try if you want.

WOW Deb, they are both GORGEOUS! :) I love them both! Perfect elements! Could you tell me where you got those wood beads on the second necklace? I love those but don’t know where to find them! :)

Thanks everyone. I sooo appreciate your compliments. The opinion of you Chickies means a lot to me. Thank you also Wanda and Mary for suggestions on fixing the weight issue.
Funny thing….the bird necklace did the same thing today. That is an issue with asymmetrical necklaces sometimes…..getting not only the balanced look but also the balanced weight. poo again.
Jess I am pretty sure those wood beads were at Walmart. They have these packs of multiple beads on the counter. One is nothing but wood. Susie always uses them also not sure where she got them. Fire Mountain Gems has a lot of wood beads as well.

I think I got my wood beads at JoAnn’s.

I have trouble keeping most of my necklaces centered on my neck. I think it has to do more with the movements I make with my head more than anything else. I’m always having to adjust my necklaces!

Me, too, if it helps–the weight issue. :) Whenever you do asymmetry there is always the weight to consider.

I know Becky and I thought it was pretty even… Those flowers are pretty heavy though. I guess I will add 1 as a dangle and see if it helps.

Really like both designs. That charteuse pendant is so cool. But I really love the sand dollar necklace. The mix of tide pool colors and wood really appeals to me. Hope your tinkering with the weigh works out soon.
