Like Grape Jelly

About this design:

Loved these graduated Brazilian purple agate stones. Agate is actually my all-time favorite gemstone. Mixed with some Swarovski in purple velvet and let the grape jelly shine.

Components:

Brazilian purple banded agates, Swarovski 5301 purple velvet bicones, TierraCast antique silver butterfly toggle from LB, Accuflex beading wire, Via Murano moonlight crimps, sterling wire guards

Kat, Isn’t agate the best?! This is a stunning necklace paired with Swarovski crystals. How heavy of a wire do you use for the heavy beads? I get crazy thinking it could break with all the friction they can create. This is another wonderful design. :)

Oh how pretty. I love the bands in the Agate as well. Kat,you sure do a mean crimp. It’s always so neat and clean.

@Crystal Canary..for the wire I used .024 Accuflex beading wire. This brand is from Fire Mountain Gems. My preference is beading wire has always been Soft Flex but sometimes it’s a little stiff.

Thank you everyone for your nice compliments.

Thanks Kat. I usually use .018 with my gemstones. Maybe for the very heavy ones, using .024 would be best. Thanks again for your response. :)

Oooooooh! The stones are drool worthy and your design lets them shine!! What, pray tell, are “Via Murano moonlight crimps”?? Do you need a special tool for them?
