Chatter

necklace, bracelet and a blue snake

About this design:

I've been crazy busy here. My son just turned 2 (ahhh!), and I just started working online part-time. On top of that I received requests for four custom orders, one of which is a bridal set... Needless to say, free time is very hard to come by!
The first picture is a custom piece I bartered with my sister for some crocheted toys. The second is a bangle available in my shop, and the third is my entry piece for the July Etsy Beadweavers Challenge. You can read more here: http://etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/

Components:

first:toho seed beads in orange, Red, blue and grey Second:toho seed beads in lilac, Rose, blue and Hematite Snake: toho seed beads in cream, pale aqua, and pomegranate. Floral wire (assuming gauge 14? its in the center of the snake for pliability. I got it at the dollar store)

I should mention, the snake is a bracelet but it is adjustable and long enough to be worn as an anklet.

Thanks so much everyone! The snake has been really popular, I have had two custom orders from it and its not even in my shop yet!
Angela, if you want I can send you some advice on making your own. took me about 10 hours, but it was my first attempt, so a lot of that was time spent pondering… All you need is basic peyote stitch and brick stitch skills.
Patience is something I have plenty of. Time, on the other hand, not so much ;)

Great work! Is this Russian spiral stitch?

    Thanks ladies!
Laud, its tubular peyote. I alternated the colors so it formed a spiral.
