Bits and Pieces Necklace

About this design:

Digging into my copper odds and ends box today.
Found two pieces, one etched with a free hand doodle and the other textured with a bent paperclip. Also found some short bits of chain. Added links of pale aqua glass chips. I think these beads were one of the first purchases in my "beading career", maybe paid two bucks for a long strand. Made the fishhook clasp and Voila!

Components:

Copper and glass

Diddo what Deb said. If this is what you create out of odds and ends, I can’t imagine what glorious piece would come from sweat and worry. The color combination is stunning … the asymetric balance is perfect. A gorgeous piece!

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments! Sometimes I play around making things and don’t quite know what to do with them, so they get thrown into a box with other odd metal beads, leftover lengths of wire and short pieces of chain. I have one for copper, silver, brass, and silver plated stuff. Comes in handy when I need a little something.

How do you handle your odd bits and pieces of metal stuff?? Like to hear!

I combine assorted leftover pieces and finds in the resealable plastic pouches from the bead shops, then I wait for inspiration to hit. Sometimes I get an idea from a jumbled heap on my desk.

Love the soft blues next to the copper! Your etched pieces are gorgeous as always, Lynda! I put my odds and ends into a clear glass dish so I can see whats in it, just in case something pops out at me.
