Rose Attempt

About this design:

I've struggled to finish at least one piece to post and I've "finally" done that. Rose is my fave flower and this is a bracelet I'd wear myself. Pushing 75 and with shakey hands and chronic pain I don't move fast.

Components:

-- LB rose ceramic bead bundle -- Czech crystal -- Brass toggle and bead caps (some from LB)

Great colors and design! I can relate to chronic pain…some days none of my joints will do what I want them too! Hope you feel better!

Roses are my absolute favorite too. So pretty and delicately feminine. I would wear this, too!

Now I’ve got to create some earrings. I bought one of those 1-step big loopers. Haven’t tried it yet. I hope it helps me to create my own earrings.

Great design! Love, love, love the color combination. It’s perfect for the rose. :)

I understand about the shaky hands. Most of the time I have shaky hands too. Can’t do fine work any more but that’s why they make 12 and 14 gauge wire! :D

Just beautiful Nancy! I love all the beads you chose to go with the rose and the lacy bead caps are the icing on the cake!
Don’t worry about being speedy, remember the tortoise and the hare!
What size looper did you get? They’re a little tricky until you get the hang of it, so don’t get discouraged. I loved it so much I bought both sizes!

  15. Granny Nancy
    Granny Nancy says:

Gail, I didn’t know there were 2 sizes. Mine appears to be a 3mm. When I comepared it with my jewelry it seems that 3mm would be suitable for most things. Do you agree? Most of what I’ll be doing at first will be earrings and pendants.

    franny says:

Go Granny! Nancy this is truly delightful!…I haven’t posted yet, (mostly ’cause I never finish anything to my satisfaction) your choice of beads is always charming.

  17. Gail Layne
    Gail Layne says:

Nancy, Yes! The 3mm is the one I use the most. The other size is smaller, 2mm maybe? It’s good for making bead clusters but really tiny for much of anything else!
