About this design:

Hey-lo all you LB beaders!

So I've still been struggling with this "jeweler's block" crisis that came about a few weeks ago, and it seems I'm not quite cured, but I think it has lessened, at least.

My last post on here was a bit depressing, but it did render much helpful feedback and I was able to use the great tips you guys offered to feel confident enough to create this bracelet.

Although I'm feeling it's not quite right- a little awkward maybe?

Tell me what you guys think.
Constructive criticism is always appreciated :)

Components:

Gorgeous lampwork art bead by CatalanaGlass on Etsy, sea foam czech glass squares, rustic seed bead mix, golden and maroon czech bellflowers, all strung on waxed linnen and all handmade copper links and clasp.

Thanks you guys : ) I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I keep trying anyway- so I guess that’s a good thing! (And posting on LB helps a lot, of course! )

Since you ask for criticism… I’m not quite sure about the square glass beads: the color doesn’t seem to match (at least in the pics), and the shape clashes a bit too. But the lampwork and the rest of the beads go well together, and on the whole, this piece just brims with creativity and optimism! I’m so happy for you! And congrats on the nice clasp!! Love the wirework and the ends of the linen sticking out!

Oh Jet, this is wonderful! I love all the special surprises this bracelet contains. The multistrands are great on the wax linen and the little bellflowers are so fun. Are those your handmade copper headpins? If so, they are fantastic! Love the ‘chubby’ balls on the end of them. Your efforts on this piece should prove gratifying–nice job! :)

I think you did a wonderful job pulling all the colors from the focal! Love all your little flower dangles in-between the other beads! Great piece!

I think you did a fantastic job on this! I love the handmade clasp, and all the elements you used. The focal is beautiful and you really highlighted it perfectly!

I’ve always loved your casual boho flare. how you throw together seemingly random colors and shapes and they just fit. I know how difficult that randomness can be to arrive at. It is hard to see what the exact colors are they look different in some of the pictures. In some I just adore the squares in the others I kinda question the color choice. I love the wide mix of shapes, keep up the effort it is well worth it!

Ditto most of the above. I really like the eclectic mix but i wish we could see the colors a bit better. All in all I like it and you should explore more with this blueprint! :)

Not sure how your last post was depressing….this is a great bracelet! All the color and texture fit well, and the little details pull it all together. Very nice!

Hi Jet, I haven’t been on lately. Been busy setting up my etsy page (what a grueling endeavor) plus school has started, so I’m back to work. Ugh! But the very first thought that went through my mind when I saw your latest creation was,”Hey, you’re back, Jet!” Meaning your “jeweler’s block” is gone! I love your work. It is so uniquely you … vibrant and individual. Maybe you’re still feeling the strain of the block as you create but your finished product is as always, fluid and stunning.
