Driftwood Triangles

Triangles are everywhere I look right now. These wood triangles are great because not only do they fit the geometric trend they also have a very natural driftwood appearance. I chose to use soft colors for the cords to fit a post-day-at-the-beach vibe.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Lay out your design.

Step 2

Tie the first part of an overhand knot directly above the hole, pulling the longer end along the top of the triangle. String that end through the hole at the other end and tie the same way. Make sure your cord is smooth along the top of the triangle. Tie another overhand knot in the cord at approximately the corner of the triangle.

Step 3

String on 2 mini tassels.

Step 4

Repeat steps 2 & 3 until you have attached all your triangles (5)

Step 5

Now that you are done attaching all your triangles and tassels, take the silk string and combine with the Irish waxed linen using an overhand knot to secure them together. Tie a few additional knots along the necklace for decoration and to help keep the cords together.

Step 6

Attach your clasp.
