My 1st Silver Necklace
Chippy Chick aka Lindys says…
This is the first Silver PMC piece I created. I have this crazy, zig zag patterned, metalic top that this necklace goes great with!
Components:
Silver PMC medallions set with copper colored Swarvorski crystals, Swarvorski bicones, SS chain and clasp.

Little Round Chick says:BRAVO! Great design. I haven’t tried PMC yet but your necklace is definitely incentive to give it a go.

Chippy Chick aka Lindys says:It takes a lot of patience! I really enjoy working with it though. I’ve made a couple other pendants & earring sets. Give it a try!

Chippy Chick aka Lindys says:Hi Ladies! Thanks for all your encouraging comments! I really need some encouragement with this broken arm! For “Taylored”, PMC is Precious Metal Clay. It is 99.9% silver in a clay like form. It is worked like any other clay product except you have to work fast in the “wet stage”, as it dries VERY QUICKLY (sometimes in just a few minutes)! It is then fired to 1250 to 1500 degree F for several minutes. I fire mine with a propane torch. You really need to be careful not to get your piece too hot because t melts (just like my husband did my very 1st attempt!) and becomes s blob of silver. It also comes in gold, but at $200 for 10 gm it a little (lot!) out of my price range!

Nicki - Taylored Designs says:I can’t wait until my kids are older so I can play with a propane torch!! That is so awesome!! Do you sell your pieces?
On Nov 03, 2009 at 8:51 am #
Chippy Chick aka Lindys says:Yes I do sell my pieces. I’m trying to get my website set up, But since my fall 2 weeks ago, the one handed typing & webset set up isn’t easy.

Nicki - Taylored Designs says:So what will the website be? I’ll keep checking to see if it’s up and running. My brother set mine up since he’s going to school for web design, and my husband has switched his major to the same so he’s able to update it….but with his working full time, in school full time and raising 2 kids…kinda hard to find time. Time is precious!
