About this design:

Primarily, my display consists of three 4-panel fireplace screens. Go figure! I was looking for something tall on which to display my rosaries full length. When I ran across these fireplace screens, I knew my search was over. My earrings hang on their ear wires. I hang everything else, my rosaries, bracelets, watches, and pricing signs, with Christmas tree hooks.

The screens feature the height I was looking for but they also facilitate set up, pack up, and transport. To pack up, I wrap each screen in a twin flat sheet, fold the screen down to 1/4 width, and slip it into a twin pillow case, fastening with an oversized safety pin.

Additionally, the ease of transport and set up enables me to bring all my beads, findings, and tools to each event. With this "have tools will travel" ability, I can customize any purchase as needed. And, when traffic is slow, I can replenish the displays when jewelry is sold. Creating jewelry on-site is also a draw because shoppers love to see firsthand how the "magic" happens!

    Go figure!
I use a fireplace screen in my display too!
So YES! I agree it is a fantastic idea!! Mine unfortunately only folds in three sections and does not fold completely flat.
I am considering using cloth on the reverse side of the screen so the jewelry has a backdrop and will be seen more easily.
Great idea! Great minds think alike. ;-)

Hi! I too have a 3 section screen and it doesn’t lie flat either. I like the sheet idea, though! My husband just put black fabric on he back of the screen for our last show. The jewelry does show up more ( not the darker pieces of course) I stuck silk autumn leaves around the top and sides. Scattered some on the table. I plan to use pine boughs, garland etc for the holiday show and maybe flowers for the spring?

What a great idea! It certainly solves the problem of having vertical display. Thank you so much for sharing. Is re-purposing wonderful! :)

JUBAJAY, hang in there sweetie, we’ll all help you! Don’t be embarressed, there’s no one more computer illiterate than me! :-D
First may I suggest creating a “profile” for yourself in the “Find Beaders” section. On the right of the screen it says “My profile” click on that and fill out the details you’d like for the rest of us to see. Don’t forget to ‘SAVE’ what you type. You can leave private messages for other beaders in that section too.
If you need more help the Lima Bead staff is EXCELLENT! And the rest of us hanging out here at LB will help you too!!
Don’t cry dear, you’re NOT stupid! You just have new things yet to learn! ;-)
